I was born in Tywardreath and now live at Castledore. Educated at Tywardreath Primary School & then Fowey Comprehensive. Joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16 and served for almost 25 years, including 3 years on HMS Avenger which was adopted by Restormel Council. Left the Navy in 1998 and now work in Devonport Dockyard as a Civil Servant. Married to Caroline who is now Chair of the Parish Council who is actively involved in discussions with Cornwall Council over the future of the beach.

Over the years I have seen many changes to Par Beach, not all of them good. Restormel Council got away with neglecting the beach for many years and then tried to sell parts of it off. I felt it was time to show that we as a community are willing and able to look after the assets we have. I believe FoPB has done a very good job over the past year and that they have proved that we as a community can care and maintain the facility that we have, and I feel privileged that members of FoPB have voted me onto the committee.
