I moved to Cornwall, with my wife, in 1976 and the following year we moved to Golant to run the Youth Hostel. We must have enjoyed it because we stayed for 28 years and retired to Polmear in 2005.
We have enjoyed Par Beach with and without children, who are now in their 30s.
I feel that Par Beach has not been discovered by many families who holiday in the area, and, indeed may not have been discovered by many people living within a few miles. I want the beach to retain its uncommercialised appearance, whilst attracting more people to enjoy the dunes, beach and sea. I would also like to work out a common approach with Par Sands Holiday Park.
